While there are
certainly going to be additional
minor changes to our plans, we’re
now close enough in the design
development phase that we can
present the latest drawings to the
city for specific street and
sprinkler requirements and solicit a
minimum of three competitive bids on
the project.
Once those bids have
been received, we’ll award the
contract and submit for permits.
Once the city grants us the permits
the work can actually begin!
With summer now upon
us, we may have some decisions to
make as to when actual demolition of
the existing structure begins. We
want to be sure we plan around fall
and winter weather so as not to have
costly weather delays once
construction begins.
Funding discussions
are now taking a more formal nature
within the Board of Elders. We’re
looking at all options – looking for
the one which makes the most sense.
We will make sure we take adequate
time for specific prayer for
direction in this matter, and seek
professional guidance as well. Our
goal, as it has been all along, is
to make decisions based on His will,
with overall quality and value as
our guideposts.
We on the Building
Committee and Board of Elders want
to thank all of you for your
continued support, input, and
contributions. Please continue to
give, as funding is now the single
most critical area of concern.
In His service,
Larry Wachtel
