Michael D. Hinrichsen - Senior Pastor

Mike has been our Senior Pastor at Blue Mountain Community Church since March of 1995.  He has served in full time ministry since 1979.  He and his wife LaVonda have three grown sons, a daughter-in-law and one grandchild.  Mike is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University and Azusa Pacific University School of Theology.

Soccer has always been a family love.  Mike played soccer in high school and college and has coached each of his boys teams from their early years of competition through their young adolescence.  As a family we enjoy the outdoors, clamming and crabbing at the Oregon coast and spending time with each other.

As Senior Pastor, Mike's primary responsibility is to lead and feed the body of Christ at Blue Mountain Community Church into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  Mike prays for God's guidance and wisdom in fulfilling the Great Commission and Great Commandment in reaching the Valley and the World.

Dan Huntley - Administrative Pastor

As administrative Pastor at BMCC, Dan is responsible for all of the business, legal and financial matters for the church, as well as administrative overseer of The Ark Day School.  Dan and Claudia have three children and four grandchildren.  Dan has been involved in ministry for over twenty years. 

In his free time, Dan enjoys camping and golf.  He also takes great delight in playing percussion for our worship services.  God called him to full time ministry from a background in sales and marketing in 1983 and His call is as fresh today as it was in the beginning. 

Isaac "Ike" Freeman - Youth Pastor

Pastor Ike was born and raised in Centrailia, WA.  He married Amy in 2004 and then moved to Portland to attend Warner Pacific College.  While attending Western Pacific College, Ike worked at Rockwood Church of God.  Both of his children, Esther and Gracie, were born while Ike was in Portland.  Pastor Ike joined BMCC in 2007.

Bob Loar - Financial Assistant

Bob has been married to Sharon for 43 years.  They came to Walla Walla 35 years ago in Southern California.  They have 4 grown children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  Bob has worked for the church since May of 2003.  Bob has served on commissions and is currently on the church Worship team. 

As Financial Assistant, Bob records all giving, pays the bills, and processes payroll for BMCC and the Ark.  In addition, Bob compiles monthly reports for all church commissions and the Ark.

Julie Caton - Media Assistant

Julie is married to her college sweetheart, Nick.  They met at Whitman College, where Julie graduated with a Theater and English degree.  They chose to stay in Walla Walla, in part, because of their friendships at BMCC.  They have one daughter, Kaeldra, who attends the Ark preschool. 

Nick and Julie enjoy crafting, reading, baking and helping direct Whitman's annual Renaissance Faire.  Julie's passion is helping match gifts with service.

As Media Assistant, Julie publishes the newsletter, bulletin and other media.  She maintains all the bulletin boards throughout the church and she works with ministry leaders to advertise events.

Candy Whitaker - Director of The Ark Day School

Candy has 17 years of experience in early childhood education.  She applies this knowledge as she oversees the day to day operation of The Ark.  The mission of The Ark is to provide child care in a safe, accepting, Christian environment that provides fun, stimulating, learning activities. 

She has been married for 33 years and has 3 adult children (Stephanie, Nicholas, and Christopher).

Kim Skifstad - Administrative Assistant

Kim was born and raised in International Falls, MN.  She married her husband Ron in August of 1984.  They moved to Walla Walla in January of 1988.  They have two children, Matthew and Ariel. 

Kim has been working at the church office since 1997 where she schedules Pastor Mike's appointments, maintains the church calendar, answers the phone and maintains church databases.

Donavan maintains the church's buildings and grounds.

Bob Stew art Jr. - Network Admin / Night Security / Janitor
Bob has worked as a computer tech for the Corp's of Engineers and Hewlett Packard.  He moved back to Walla Walla in February of 2004 and started attending BMCC with his son.  He joined the staff in July of 2004.

Bob maintains the computers, network, printers, and secures the church building in the evening.
